We finally made it out to Melbourne to visit my childhood friends from High School and University earlier in October. Five days were clearly not enough to visit all friends and spend time with them all; neither was it enough to see all the sights in and around Melbourne. It was, however, enough to consume large amounts of alcohol, drive to the Great Ocean Road for a night and watch the beautifull penguins on Phillip Island. We also managed to catch a few crabs although the fish got away )despite expert guidance from Pooja :)). Priyanka was chasing after penguin nests to take a peek at them as some of them slept through the day while Pooja was pointing them out with her amazing ability to find these nests from a moving car.
Maybe I shouldn't go into details about the incident at the little bed-n-breakfast place by Great Ocean Road where we stayed suffice to say it started withe guys suggesting to bar-be-que rather than eat at a popular local restaurant as planned... and ended with us somehow blowing out the fuse for a part of that building as we were cooking... a couple hours later we were still cooking after the owner had to come down in the middle of the night to fix the fuse and get the electric bar-b-que to run! Here are a few pictures from that trip... fair to just say we were quite busy and engaged enough to not take too many pictures... enjoy and post comments and emails!
